Dragons Junior Basketball- Miniball Funday
Hi everyone!
We have had an awesome start to the Dragons Junior Basketball season. The positive vibe and energy from a gym filled with over 80 excited Dragonites has been great to see again!
We are now preparing for the Dragons Miniball Funday on Sunday 19th June 2022 10am-4pm at Walter Nash Stadium.
Dragons host this annual junior tournament, which includes tiniball, miniball and intermediate teams from other Wellington Chinese based clubs (WCSCC and ACM). It is a chance for our teams to play against other clubs and socialise with other members of the Chinese community. We also operate a canteen selling delicious Chinese food for everyone to enjoy.
If your child would like to participate in this tournament, please ensure you sign them up this Sunday (22nd May) at practice if you haven’t already, or you can email the appropriate lead coach by 6pm this Sunday the 22nd May to be included in a team:

- Intermediate - Dev Lee-Joe (Devlin.leejoe@gmail.com)
Participants must meet eligibility criteria agreed upon by all clubs to participate in this Chinese based Tournament. New members may be asked to complete an eligibility form to confirm their eligibility.
Tournament organisation is well underway but we need YOUR help to make it a success on the day!
We are asking for volunteers to help referee games, do score bench and staff the canteen. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the club and be a part of the action!
… who ref’d your games or did score bench when you participated in these tournaments? Now is your chance to pay it back!
If we do not get enough helpers, we will not be able to operate the Canteen.
A short training session for score bench helpers will be run at our usual Sunday practice on the 12th June .
